Celebration of the Arts

The District 230 Foundation kicked-off its fundraising events with an Alumni Gala: Celebration of the Arts raising more than $17,000 for grants, scholarships and special programs.

In the Stagg High School Performing Arts Center, Andrew alum and WGN-AM news anchor Andrea Darlas was master of ceremonies as the musical, voice and dramatic abilities of District 230 alumni were showcased. The program arrangement and staging of Kim and Karen Brunnsen made for a great Sunday in the Park.
 

The foyer was filled with beautiful art by District 230 alumni, staff and local artisans. The art auction was coordinated by Jeanne Krapauskas, David Carroll, Ginni Guzior, Wendy Meek, Kara McMahon, Andrea Fox and Mary Perruso. Several pieces of artwork remain and are for sale.

The crowd also enjoyed a delicious buffet catered by Andrew alum and Executive Chef for the Flossmoor Country Club Thomas Burmingham.

Chairs of the event were Foundation Directors Arlene See, Jack O’Malley, Tony Muscolino, Jim Sibley and Dr. James M. Gay.
